MUMBAI: Actor Rushad Rana has joined the cast of Shakti and will be seen playing a lawyer. The actor says that the role has always excited him. "Playing a lawyer has always fascinated me and I think it comes naturally to me. In my school days that's what I wanted to become. Also, we have seen on TV and movies that the part of lawyers is always well written. The roles are strong and there is a good scope of performance," he says.

The actor will be sharing the screen with actor Ronit Roy. "It is always wonderful to share screen space with Ronit Roy. He is a veteran actor and as well as a very good human being. He is always fun on sets. It's great interacting with him. I feel honoured to be cast opposite him," he says.

Meanwhile, the actor says that he has always been fond of the show. "I haven't followed Shakti in the past but I know it's a very powerful show. It's a show that has got a very unusual concept of a man getting married to a eunuch (Kinnar) which we have never seen before," he says.

Taking about the kind of shows he wants to do, he says, "I would love to do the kind of daily soaps which give some kind of a message to people. I would love to do a negative role,  as I love playing negative roles. Even if it's a positive role, it should be something powerful or else I would love to do an out an out comedy."
