Sunil Pal tells media, 'Bhavnao ko samjho', which sets a Guinness Book record

Stand-up comedian Sunil Pal is all set to make a record with his movie Bhavnao Ko Samjho and register it in the Guinness Book of World Records. It is the first Hindi movie to get a place in the book for starring as many as 51 stand-up comedians. And Pal, the producer of the movie and the man behind making the statement '<em>Bhavnao ko samjho</em>'popular, is naturally thriller but also disappointed with the media's indifference towards his achievement. Pal feels that the media hasn't publicized it enough.

Stand-up comedian Sunil Pal is all set to make a record with his movie Bhavnao Ko Samjho and register it in the Guinness Book of World Records. It is the first Hindi movie to get a place in the book for starring as many as 51 stand-up comedians. And Pal, the producer of the movie and the man behind making the statement 'Bhavnao ko samjho'popular, is naturally thriller but also disappointed with the media's indifference towards his achievement. Pal feels that the media hasn't publicized it enough. He says, "It feels good to be associated with a movie that has set a record in the Guinness Book, which is considered to be the Bible of records for the world. It's a huge achievement and we are all proud to be a part of the movie. I am doubly happy because I have produced it too. But I am disappointed with the media. They should have highlighted this achievement as this is a proud moment for the entire nation. But seems they are more interested in peeping into Rakhi's wardrobe, writing about someone's swayamvar, some Hollywood actor kissing a Bollywood actress or an infamous lip-lock between an item-queen and a singer. I wonder if this is the same media that covered our live shows which they had no access to and made money by airing those footage and clippings. And now when something like this has happened which would interest our viewers, they don't even mention it. This isn't my proudest moment alone but also for my country but then such is media. They would give their sweat and blood to make a hero out of a terrorist but would not waste time on a true achievement." On a positive note, Pal is planning his second movie set against the backdrop of an old age home. So would he try his hand now at some serious acting? "Comedy is my strength and I adore the way Raj Kumar Hirani treats strong socially relevant subjects with a touch of comedy. I think when you present a serious subject with the essence of comedy it becomes more interesting and viewer-friendly. My movie is expected to go on the floors in April," he informs.
