MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar has made a name for himself as the Khiladi of Bollywood. When not defying gravity and performing some high-octane stunts on the sets, he is known for his philanthropic works and acts of kindness.

Recently he provided monetary support to the families of martyred jawans and now he is done for the attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

According to reports, Lakshmi had already shared her inspiring story with the world and had graced several public platforms and awards show over the years.  She recently admitted in a recent interview that she didn’t have money to fulfil her basic needs, and when Akki go to know about it he reportedly gave Laxmi  a sum of Rs. 5 lakh in order to give her her get back on her feet and look for a job without the worry of paying house rent and providing nutritious food for her baby.

When Akshay was asked about the same  he said that he is very embarrassed to even mention his contribution and that he was lending his support through this “practical means” as medals, awards and certificates don’t pay the bills.

Akshay is currently busy shooting for ‘Housefull 4’. He is also awaiting the release of his films ‘2.0’ with Rajinikanth and ‘Kesari’ alongside Parineeti Chopra.
