Mohit Malik talks about his learning from Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala, his co-stars, and more...

MUMBAI: In an interaction with a leading daily, actor Mohit Malik, who plays the role of Sikander Gill in Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala, talks about his experience. Read on for excerpts.

His learning from the show I've become more empathetic. There's a lot of empathy which has grown inside me. It happens that whatever character you play, it leaves something and Sikander has left a very very good thing, which is empathy and essentially required in today's life. I had this quality but playing Sikander that has come naturally in me now. Money is something that you earn but I've also earned a lot of good people here, beautiful relationships that I have with the two kids Myra and Aakriti. I will always be there to guide them. There's a lot of acclaim as an actor. What a brilliant response I have received for the craft. I feel really happy because I've worked really really hard for it.

His connection with the character of Sikander It's actually very difficult for me to separate Sikander from me at the moment. Sikander and I are one at the moment barring a certain characteristics. My duty now is to start detaching Sikander from myself. I have to come back to Mohit. For two years I have been deeply involved with Sikander, it's all in me.

Equation with on-screen daughters They are like family and more than me, they are very much connected with me. I am unable to understand how in the next few days when it will sink in that I am not shooting with them. That feeling is yet to sink in. Yesterday was my last day and for the next few days when I don't go for the shoot and don't meet them very often. I think then it will sink in. I don't know how I am going to handle this. The kids will handle it because during childhood it's not that intense. They love me a lot and the bond will still be there. It will be more difficult for me, I think. Not that I love one child more and not the other, I love both of them equally. In fact, both Aditi and I love them. I even told their parents once that can I adopt your kids. I love them because they are still very innocent and till the time that innocence is within them it will be very good for them as actors and human beings. They are the best actors, I've worked with and I am very proud of them. They are two little angels who will always be with me.
