Those who are BLAMING me will one day work with me again: Jyoti Gupta, Co-Producer of Hamari Bahu Silk

Co-producer of Hamari Bahu Silk in a candid chat with TellyChakkar.com talks about the non-payment issue

MUMBAI:TellyChakkar.com broke the news of Zee TV show Hamari Bahu Silk cast and crew facing severe non-payment issues since the entire tenure of the show. The distressed cast and crew opinionated that they may resort to ending their lives, if their payments are not made. The news got viral and a lot of celebrities supported the cast and crew of the show and called out to the producers Devyani Rale- Sudhanshu Pandey (Klay Pictures) and Jyoti Gupta (Silver Ivory Productions). Jyoti Gupta recently released a statement about himself being a victim in the entire matter.

TellyChakkar.com got in touch with Jyoti to have more insight on the matter. We asked him why he chose to speak up this late, he said, “Such issues are common in the industry. This is not the first time that a producer has been alleged of non-payment. Although, this time, the matter has escalated too much. Also, a lot of family members and friends from the industry including biggie producers called me and posted the news and got viral and asked me to clarify my stance as they no, I’m not somebody who will claim or stop anybody else’s hard-earned money. I have produced a show titled Queens Hai Hum for Zee group (&TV) and I’ve cleared the dues of even the actors and technicians who left the show mid-way so you can imagine my work ethics”.

We asked him whether what is being said about him will affect his good will in the industry to which he said, “I’ve faced such hardships and fake allegations in the past as well and I’ve come out of it stronger and I’m hoping I would be brave even this time. As far as the good will is concerned, I’m sure people will understand my side of the story. I’m certain that this too shall pass and all of them who are blaming me will yet again work with me in the future and I too, will not hold any grudges against anyone. If I’m honest and my intentions are right, I will get work.”.

The allegations are very disappointing and disturbing. I can understand the plight of all the technicians and actors. Trust me, I’ve tried to get the payment with all my might, but the efforts went in vain as the channel didn’t budge. I’m helpless, things are not in my hand.

TellyChakkar.com hopes that the matter is resolved soon and the payments are made to the actors and technicians at the earliest.

Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
