MUMBAI: Content has a new definition on SonyLIV.  The OTT has launched an original movie titled Kadakh, which has been made by none other than Rajat Kapoor. The thriller stars Ranveer Shorey, Rajat Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin, and many more.

The dark comedy starts off in an intriguing manner. Sunil, played by Ranveer Shorey, is busy planning a Diwali party with his wife Malti. A man enters his house when Malti is not there at home and commits suicide. A huge number of guests are to come and how the husband and wife deal with the situation is extremely interesting. Who was the person who committed suicide and what was their connection with him is what the entire movie is about.

Talking about the screenplay, the 95-minute movie grabs your attention at the start but loses pace midway. But overall, the story will not let you down.

The direction of the movie is decent, because 95 percent of it is shot inside the house and the concept is unique.

In terms of performances, Ranveer Shorey steals the show and proves his talent yet again. Rajat Kapoor plays Sunil's friend and is decent. Shruti and the others play their parts well.

The positives are the concept and performance of the lead. There are few situational comedy sequences in the movie that will make you laugh.

The negatives are the average screenplay, which may bore you a little.

But the movie has much more to offer.
