MUMBAI : Today, the fans of SAB TV’s Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga woke up to a shocking news about the lead actress Avneet Kaur quitting the show.

Yeh Unn Dinon Ki Baat Hai fame Ashi Singh has stepped into Avneet’s shoes to play the character of Yasmin. Ashi has already started started shooting.

Speaking to Bombay Times, Avneet mentioned that due to health reasons she quit the show. She said, “I decided to leave the show because of the coronavirus crisis. I suffered from dengue last year, but resumed work despite my immunity not being strong. There was the stress of preparing for my board exams too, at that time. It made me really weak. So, I am scared of resuming shoots at the moment. My parents and I decided that it’s better for me to quit. I am sad, but health comes first.”

However, according to our sources, the makers have been looking for Avneet’s replacement for quite some time now as she wasn’t giving dates to the show. A lot of times Avneet’s dupe was made to shoot when she would not turn up on the sets. We also hear that apparently Avneet used to dedicate most of her time making TikTok videos and shooting for music video projects.

Another source mentioned that it is true that she had health issues and was also unable to take out time for her studies.

Undoubtedly, Avneet has done a brilliant job as Yasmine and she has gained immense love for her role. Her chemistry with male lead Siddharth Nigam aka Aladdin was also appreciated. Before Ashi got finalized lot of others actresses were approached to play Yasmine’s role and one of them is Tunisha Sharma.
