Her name may be Mini but she made a major impact on audiences, if not the judges of Sony Entertainment's dance celebrity show Jhalak Dikhlaa Ja (Jhalak),. This despite, former MTV veejay and Indian Idol host Mini Mathur was jettisoned from JHALAK this weekend to the disappointment of her fans. Mini has put her eviction behind her. In fact she sounded relieved, and was preparing for a well deserved holiday when Tellychakkar.com had a short tete a tete with her. Excerpts: How do you look back at your experience in Jhalak? It was a great experience and different from my anchoring. I had fun and at the same time it was one of the biggest challenges to shake a leg on national television. Being a non dancer it was tough but later I started enjoying my performances. There are no moans of elimination. Were you disappointed on being eliminated? I was not expecting my removal as the audience loved me. There are no disappointments as such. I feel a bit relaxed. Definitely I'm going to miss the Jhalak stage but I know it's a game and there can be only one winner so I had to go. Mr Negi was with me in the danger zone and I really wished that he should stay in the running. I think God heard my plea. What exactly went wrong? Hemu had made a comeback as a choreographer after a long gap of 15 years and I'm a non-dancer. I think these two were our weak points. We put in our best efforts, but you also need luck. How was your rapport with Hemu? It was a professional-cum-friendly relationship. He is a good human being and I share a great rapport with him. He used to pick me up for rehearsals and drop me home after that. Even after our elimination I called him twice to check if everything was fine. He is like a part of our family and I'll always be in touch with him. Mini as an anchor/dancer I'll always choose anchoring over dancing. Anchoring is my career which provides me my bread and butter. I took up Jhalak as it was different and challenging. I had never danced in my life so I thought of giving it a chance. What's your next plan of action? As of now I'm planning for a long holiday to Uttaranchal with my family. As my son is also getting ten days off from school for Diwali, this is the best time to visit my brother over there. He has a beautiful mansion. I just want to recharge and refresh myself before taking up any new projects. Immediately after Indian Idol 3 concluded, I started with Jhalak and had no time to relax.
