Yet another 'rustic' show, this time set in a coal mine, on Sony

Sony is planning to launch a show post IPL produced by Siddharth Tewari. The show, Maan Rahe Tera Pitah is tipped to hit air-waves from April 26. Tewari who is currently producing one of Zee’s toppers, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo , has again chosen a rural back drop for this show and is set in Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and it depicts the lives of workers in coal mines. It’s basically inspired from the film, Kala Patthar and stars Archana Taide , Varun Badola and Pramod Moutho playing key roles. The rest of the star cast is yet to be finalized. The shooting is expected to start sometime next week. Archana plays the daughter of Moutho, who is mentally unstable. She does everything possible to ensure her father’s pride and honour, lest anyone pokes fun at his mental state. The show will have a rustic look. Tewari says, “ Maan Rahe Tera Pitah is based in Chattisgarh and is about a girl and her dreams. So far Archana, Varun and Pramod Moutho are on board and I am finalizing the rest of the star cast.”
