MUMBAI: Ranvir Shorey, in his recent tweets, addressed his relationship with ex-girlfriend Pooja Bhatt and slamming an article about his and Pooja’s ‘abusive relationship’, he refuted the claims saying that it was he who was abused, and not the other way around. He claimed that such articles were a result of a malicious PR campaign that the film moguls targeted him with, for years. He also opened up about Manish Makhija, saying that he was his best friend before he ‘turned and married’ Pooja Bhatt.

Ranvir Shorey, refuting the claims in the article of him abusing Pooja Bhatt, and wrote, “These kind of articles are the result of the sustained defamatory & malicious PR campaign that these film moguls have targeted me with for years! None of the media will bother to fact check old police and media records that will show that it was I who was abused by them.” Further replying to images of Manish Makhija and Pooja Bhatt together, Ranvir wrote, “This guy in the photos used to be my best friend right up until after the incident, and then turned around and married her. All kinds of relationships are manipulated and psychological warfare used.”

For those who are not aware, Manish Makhija and Pooja Bhatt were married from 2003 to 2014 and announced their separation after 11 years of marriage.

Recently, Ranvir Shorey also opened up about his fallout with the Bhatts. While speaking to Hindustan Times, he said that the Bhatts would lie about Ranvir, saying that he is an alcoholic and an abuser, every platform they would get. “You just feel so helpless and frustrated because you can’t do anything about it. It got really toxic for me at the time and I had to leave the country for a while,” he said.
