MUMBAI: Star Plus' show  Anupamaa has become one of the most-watched shows of the small screen. Every character in the show has been praised for its stellar performances. Leela's role is one of the most important characters in the show. The role is essayed by popular TV actress Alpana Buch.

The viewers are witnessing her in a completely different avatar. The most unique aspect of Leela's character is that it has many layers. While she is always seen giving a hard time to her daughter-in-law Anupamaa, she has been quite different when it comes to dealing with others in the show.

We have seen Leela shouting, behaving like a typical mother-in-law, being a loving wife and a grandmother. On being asked what part of her character she likes to play the most, Leela was quick to respond that the mother-in-law part is what excites her the most. 

Alpana said, "If Leela's character turned completely positive, the viewers won't get to see Anupamaa's positivity."

The actress says, "I like to see myself playing Anupamaa's mother-in-law on the show."

Earlier too, Alpana had revealed that she loves shooting most of her scenes with Rupali Ganguly.
