MUMBAI: Actress Rashmi Gupta, who is part of Zee TV’s popular show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, is these days in news as supposedly entering Bigg Boss 14 house as a wild card contestant.

Before Guddan happened, I did shows like Mere Rang Mein Rangne Waali, Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai, Yeh Vaada Raha, a Gujarati film and others but never mentioned about these projects in my profile. The reason behind keeping it secretive is that I always felt that I had some a defect in my beauty and if at all I mention about these projects or if people revisit my old pictures, they may not stop liking me. Actually, I had an extra tooth at the front and hence I always felt conscious about it. I used never smile earlier in spite of having good smile. I felt that the extra tooth would make me look ugly. By God’s grace I used to get work while I have also faced rejection because of my extra tooth.”

Hence, I decided to get the extra tooth removed. However, this decision was not easy to take as even my father also had an extra tooth on both the sides at front. My father passed away when I was very young and I somewhere considered as my father’s last memory. However, I wanted to do go in my career and convinced my mother to remove it. Finally, while doing Yeh Vaada Raha I got rid of it. I finally could smile openly and felt confident. From there on you would spot me smiling in all my pictures.”
