Sucheta Khanna is all set to start shooting for Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (YPD2) from October. This talented TV actress was also part of the original, in which she played the character named Poli. “Then, I was cast opposite Bobby Deol, while in this, I have a role with Sunny Sir (Sunny Deol). It is comic villain track something like Crime Master Gogo (Andaz Apna Apna). Sunny and I have lots of action sequences together but they are full of laughs. I am playing a bungling detective along with Johnny Bhai (Johnny Lever),” Sucheta reveals. “Since the original went on to become a super success and my work was appreciated in it, I have been retained. Dharam ji( Dharmendra) says he has loved my work in Part I,” she informs. Sucheta, a big name in TV ( Kuch Kadvee Kuch Meethi and the sequel of Karamchand, is currently doing Lapataganj on SAB TV, had actually entered the entertainment space with films, but her maiden an ABCL venture could not see the light of day. “After that I did a few other projects in which I hardly had any screen space. On the other hand, TV has given me name, fame and everything. So, I don’t plan much since my initial experience was quite wary.” The sequel of YPD is now produced by Vijayta Films and is helmed by Sangeeth Sivan. “He is a great filmmaker. In fact, I have worked with him before in Zor. The caste of YPD 2 is leaving for outdoor shoot for the first schedule and I am joining them,” Sucheta ends.
