MUMBAI: Star Plus' show Anupamaa has become a classic show in such a short period of time. It's not even a year since the show hit the small screens and it has rapidly gained popularity.

Rajan Shahi has chosen gems for his drama series who have perfectly nailed their respective characters.

From Rupali Ganguly who plays the central character on the show to each and everyone, the talented artists have proved that they are just too perfect for their roles.

We all know Anupamaa has faced a lot of troubles in the 25 years of her marriage. From being neglected by her husband Vanraj to being constantly criticised by her mother-in-law Leela, Anupamaa never received any appreciation from anyone.

But the viewers are seeing lots of changes in many characters on the show, especially Leela whose character is being played by Alpana Buch.

We have seen how Leela never liked Anupamaa as she never wanted her to be her daughter-in-law.

But as times changed, Leela understood Anupamaa and started valuing her efforts.

In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, we asked Alpana how she is feeling about the transformation of her character.

She said, ''I am feeling good about the transformation of my character. However, I used to love to taunt Anupamaa onscreen. I miss being Anupamaa's mother-in-law. But somewhere Leela has now turned into a mother to Anupamaa. It pains her to see how her family is going to break down soon with Anupamaa and Vanraj's divorce.''

Alpana further added, ''Leela has changed herself in the hope that Anupamaa might stay back. Amid all this, Leela's soft-corner can be seen on the show and I do miss being the Leela I used to be earlier.''

Well, the upcoming episodes of Anupamaa will be high on drama and emotions.
