This year is turning out to be a year of wedlocks, as 2012 has seen many television artistes tying the knot…. with many others soon to take the holy nuptial vows. Among them is Roshni Shetty, currently seen as Sajni in Colors’ Kairi, who is all set to walk down the aisle. This lovely actress is getting married to Anshuman Bhandari, a US-based IT guy. They met each other five years ago at a friend’s party. After that, meetings kept happening and soon they started dating each other. But, it was only two and a half years ago that they entered into a relationship. And now, the couple is all set to take things to the next level on 7 December 2012. “Anshuman was initially staying in Mumbai, that was when we got close, but later he moved to the US. This is when I realized that our relationship was growing stronger with every passing day. And that is when we planned to get married,” shared Roshni with Tellychakkar.com. So does this mean she will shift to US after the wedding? “No, not at all. He is very understanding and since my television career has just begun, he has planned to shift to Mumbai for a year. After that, we will see how things go,” she averred. Talking about her wedding preparations the lovely actress went on to state, “It will be a Punjabi wedding in Chandigarh as Anshuman is a Punjabi. But I have asked my designer to work on attire that will be a mix of Punjabi and South Indian style, as I am a South Indian.” When asked to elaborate on the engagement ceremony, Roshni stated, “Sometime ago, we had a Roka ceremony but we will have our engagement and sangeet ceremony just one day before the wedding.” The actress also added that there will be no reception in Mumbai. So, whoever wants to join her in Chandigarh can do so, “There will be a huge reception in Chandigarh, hence I am not having any in Mumbai (laughs). I have invited my close friends Sukirti Khandpal, Priya Wal and Madhura Naik. I have also invited my directors and friends from my current show. I just hope that they make it for my wedding.” Post the wedding, the actress has a long honeymoon plan, as she went on to detail, “We will be going to Thailand for a month after which we will go to California and then to Florida. We will be out for two months.” Roshni’s current show Kairi will go off-air on 14 December, so the actress has ample time for her honeymoon till she takes up her next project. We wish the couple a happy marriage!!!
