MUMBAI: Today, the television industry woke up to the shocking news of Naagin 3 actor Pearl Puri’s arrest in a rape case.

He has been arrested by Waliv Police Station and is currently being interrogated. Apparently, a case has been filed against six people in all.

The incident had allegedly happened in 2019. There was a thorough investigation on the same, and finally, the charges have been levied.

Since the news broke, the television industry has been coming out and supporting the actor. From co-stars to producers and friends, each one is standing by him.

Ace producer Ekta Kapoor, who had worked with Pearl in Naagin 3, Bepanah Pyaarr, and Brahmarakshas has supported him wholeheartedly.

The producer shared a post on social media and said that she supports Pearl. She had spoken to the girl’s mother, who informed her that Pearl is innocent and that it was the girl’s father who has filed this false case so that he can prove that her mother is not taking good care of her.

She also said that  an extremely important movement like ‘Me Too’ is being used frivolously ... to get your own agendas met, mentally torturing a child, and making an innocent person guilty.

In the end, she said that she doesn’t have the right to judge what is wrong and right but she has all the proof of the girl's mother’s chat and voice notes. If Pearl is proved innocent, she requested people to look more deeply into how important and much needed movements in today’s time are being used unfairly, reducing the gravitas of the situation. May justice prevail!

On the other hand, his co-star Krystle D'Souza also supported the actor where she said that Pearl is the nicest boy she has met in the industry and a true gentleman and no one should jump to conclusion on baseless allegations.

Well, the latest we know is that the actor might not get bail and is booked for raping a minor under IPC 376.
