A page from the personal diary of Gulki Joshi Hello everyone, this is Gulki Joshi whom you all know as Sugni from my ongoing show Phir Subah Hogi on Zee TV. Born and brought up in Indore, I spent my childhood in Delhi and Mumbai. After completing my schooling from Veer Bhagat Singh Vidyalaya in Mumbai, I finished my graduation from Mithibai College, here only. These days I am staying with parents over here. Talking about my career… Well, I started off as a dubbing artiste when I was in school. Later, when I joined college I started taking active participation in drama and for five years, I was into theatre. Along with my college studies, I used to do drama and play cameos for pocket money. I played a cameo role in Sony Entertainment Television’s Crime Patrol. At that point of time, I didn’t want to do daily soaps as I wanted to concentrate on my studies. After completing college, I did get a couple of offers of which was quite impressed with the Sugni character. After reading the script, I gave it a second thought and finally gave my nod. Sugni of Phir Subah Hogi will be my launch pad as this is exactly the kind of role I was waiting for, I felt. My journey has been very good till date. Though I didn’t have to struggle much for the role, but my actual struggle period started when I started doing this show. Since I have a theatre background, it took me some time for to adjust. On the personal front, I am very much single. The sad part is I don’t have time to date anyone as entire day goes away in shooting. To unwind myself, I like to dance and sing; I also like to watch movies. So, this in short is my journey. I thank you all my lovely fans and hope you keep on loving me as you do today.
