MUMBAI: Supriya Shukla is a multi- faceted actress and she is currently juggling between two shows, Molkki and Kundali Bhagya. Both the shows are extremely popular and she plays the role of Prakashi and Sarla respectively.

Tellychakkar.com exclusively got in touch with Supriya and the actress got candid about her role in both the shows. Supriya shared, “I was shooting for Kundali but I am only required from time to time. Hence I was looking for something and Balaji Telefilms, being a family, offered me Molkki and it was great as I do not think that after playing a positive character like Sarla for seven and a half years, anybody would have offered me a negative role. So I am thankful to Ekta for that.”

We asked Supriya if she feels that playing Sarla stereotyped her. Surpriya shared, “Not at all. Sarla has had a beautiful journey and she is a mother who supports her daughter and is a strong character who will not take it lying low if her daughters are not treated right. The response I get from the audience is superb and people tell me that just how Sarla has raised her daughters, they have imbibed the same values in their lives.”

When asked about Molkki, Supriya averred, “In Molkki, I play a Haryanvi character so there is an accent. My character is more about a personality who is plotting and planning. I have beautiful costumes too. It is something very different. Shooting with Amar (Upadhyay) has been nice. I did my first narration with him and he is very professional. Priyal (Mahajan) is also a very good performer and she adapts to the scene very well. “

Supriya further added, “Playing two different characters simultaneously is an actors’ delight! I do not find it a challenge to snap in and out of the role as I have been living Sarla for almost eight years now and it feels nice to play two different characters.”
