MUMBAI: Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa is currently one of the most popular shows. The gripping tale has been entertaining the viewers. Ace actress Rupali Ganguly is seen in the role of the protagonist Anupamaa. It seems Rupali’s character Anupamaa is set to meet a new person.

Yes, according to the reports, the TV show is gearing up to have a new character soon.

Apparently, a Bollywood actor may join the cast and his entry will bring about a new twist in the show.

But whether or not he will play Anupamaa's love interest is yet to be decided. Times of India’s source said, “Discussions are on. The new character will be Anupamaa's childhood friend. No actor has been finalised yet, but in all likelihood, it could be someone from Bollywood or a well known name from the television industry. The makers are looking at that possibility too. He will play her friend and there is no love angle at least initially. The character is likely to make an entry by July end."

Further, the report stated that in a turn of events, Kavya will soon lose her job. She will now be a housewife and Anupamaa – the working woman. The source added, "Kavya will be jobless and Anupamaa will be seen handling and juggling more and more different responsibilities in the coming days.”
