Owner of Triangle Film Company and producer of Life OK’s mythological drama Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, Nikhil Sinha, has gained a lot of popularity in a short period of time with his hard work. He is a man of vision who knows how to connect with the masses. Tellychakkar.com walks into his office for a freewheeling chat for our Behind the Lens section. For details read on… How do you feel to be the producer of a high-profile show like Mahadev? (smiles) It’s indeed a great feeling being part of such a big show that has been accepted by the audience at large with open hearts. I and the entire crew are happy and proud to be associated with it. The production team as well as the entire cast works with so much of dedication that the result ought to have been positive. It’s considered to be the best show so far and is still counting on the appreciation angle. Did you ever think that the show will do so well and reach so far? Honestly speaking no, never in my dreams did I think on those lines, but our hard work has made things possible; the entire credit of the show’s success goes to the directors because it’s they who look after the presentation… though at the end, it is the audience that has raised the show to this pedestal. The writers have worked so impeccably on the script which makes the dialogues look so real. What do you think is the USP of the show? (pauses) Hmm! It is definitely the narration because that has helped us to bond with the viewers. And the characters have gone so deep in their characters that they have instantly connected with the viewers. On the technical side, the visual effects as well as the animation are the real eye catchers and that is what keeps the viewers’ interest intact. Right now the show has achieved a different kind of level that is unbeatable. Mohit Raina is considered to be the face of the show. Would you ever think or imagine of replacing him in the future? (laughs) No, not at all, because he is a wonderful guy who is highly dedicated on sets. What are the challenges that you face as a producer? I can’t deny the fact that producing a good show that is appreciated by the viewers, is a stepping stone. The whole set of storytelling is the biggest task, because what is important is how well it can reach the audience. To achieve this kind of popularity in a mythological drama, where people have already laid their benchmarks is more difficult. But we all believe in doing our best and are gaining success pretty well. What’s coming up next in the show? The story is about Mahadev’s life. Hence, there are many facts which people are not aware of, will be revealed. I can’t really give it out at the moment because of obvious reasons. What can viewers expect in future from Triangle Film Company? Triangle is always of the belief to show current stuff to viewers. We create something unusual from usual. We believe in originality and honesty. Hence, viewers can have complete faith on us. There are a couple of shows on which we are working on, but I will only reveal this at the right time. Do you see any show as a competitor to Devon Ke Dev...? TV is not a place for competition but a platform where people perform to their best. It’s a kind of exam where everybody performs according to their capability. There is no stealing among TV shows; everybody comes up with different ideas and works actively. It’s a platform where independent talent is considered.
