EXCLUSIVE: I quit engineering for acting: Rahul Kapoor on his acting journey

Here is what actor Rahul Kapoor has to say on his recently released short movie Speed Dial. The actor also spoke about his acting journey and the roles he looks forward to doing.

MUMBAI: Rahul Kapoor is getting some amazing reviews for his recently released short movie Speed Dial, which also has Shreyas Talpade and Aksha Pardasany in the leading roles. The actor, who is also an associate producer at Flying Dreams Entertainment Private Limited, has also done various ramp shows and modeling projects. He was also seen in movies like D Day and later in Vodka Diaries.

Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with Rahul Kapoor with regard to his short movie Speed Dial, his acting journey, and his fight against dyslexia.

RAHUL KAPOOR ON HIS SHORT MOVIE SPEED DIAL

Throwing some light on the movie, the actor revealed that Speed Dial is based on a magic phone which will fulfill your wishes, and the same thing happens with Shreyas Talpade’s character. After he gets this phone, how the equation changes between everyone is something amazing to see. The actor revealed that he will be seen playing a negative character whose name is Sukhbir. It was amazing working with talented stars like Shreyas Talpade and Aksha Pardasany. It is always amazing to collaborate with director Kushal Vastava.

RAHUL KAPOOR ON HIS ACTING JOURNEY

He always wanted to be an actor. He is an engineering student and he left his job to follow his passion that is acting. The actor started small. He was part of few commercials  for which he got his first ever pay check of Rs. 20000. The actor later contributed as a dancer for many events and award shows. He says after this, he was fortunate enough to meet his director and mentor Kushal Shrivastava, the collaboration of which we have seen in the project Vodka Diaries.

RAHUL KAPOOR ON HAVING DYSLEXIA IN THE PAST

The actor also revealed that he was a dyslexia patient in the past. He was very weak in studies and this was because he was having dyslexia. It was because of his elder brother he could fight this problem. He says that we have to be strong enough in life and work hard to follow our goals.

No doubt this is one of the most inspirational stories we have heard. We are looking forward to seeing some amazing characters played by Rahul Kapoor in the future.
