Off late Akshay Kumar has been going up the popularity ladder with his releases like Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore, Oh My God and Special 26 doing good business. And like always when an actor gives a string of hits, producers rub shoulders to sign him for their upcoming projects. A recent case is that of Ramesh Taurani who has signed Akshay Kumar for two of his upcoming films. Talking to Tellychakkar.com, Taurani said, "We have indeed signed Akshay Kumar for our next two films. The first will be co-directed by Sajid-Farhad, who were instrumental in writing dialogues for films like Bol Bachchan, Golmaal Returns and Housefull 2. The film will go on the floors in the first week of July. The second film will go on the floors in 2014." Reasoning as to why he signed Akshay, Taurani averred, "I always wanted to work with him. He is one of the most disciplined actors in the industry and a superb performer." Just a few days ago Karan Johar signed Akshay to play the lead in one of his upcoming project.
