MUMBAI: Pankaj Tripathi, who is well known for ‘Mirzapur’ as well as other OTT projects, was reported to feature in his Tollywood debut opposite superstar Pawan Kalyan. It was reported that Pankaj was approached to play a pivotal role in Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming movie titled ‘Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh’.

But the actor dismissed the reports that he will be featuring in a Telugu movie with South superstar Pawan Kalyan.

In a brief statement, he refuted the news but said that he looks forward to working with Kalyan "someday soon".

"Reading the news of doing a film with Pawan Kalyan on social media made me really happy. I'm an admirer of his work. But as much as I want this news to be true, unfortunately it's not. But I do hope I get to work with him someday soon," the 45-year-old actor said.

He has featured in films like Gunjan Saxena, Ludo, Kaagaz, and Mimi, and web show Mirzapur 2 and Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors.

Tripathi’s exceptional realistic touch to his performance make all his characters stand out in a project.
