MUMBAI : Thalapathy Vijay starrer Beast which was released in 2022 failed to make a mark at the box office, and even the actor’s fans were not happy with the film. Now, he is all set for his next movie titled Varisu which also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. 

Varisu is a Tamil film but it will be dubbed and released in Telugu and Hindi as Vaarasudu and Vaaris respectively. Today, the makers have released the Tamil trailer of the film.

The trailer of Varisu is decent and it looks like an action-packed family drama. The trailer gives a hint that the movie revolves around a family and Thalapathy Vijay plays the role of the younger son who is not living with the family. But, when the family faces some difficulty, he comes to rescue them.

In the trailer, Thalapathy Vijay as usual is good and Prakash Raj as the antagonist also leaves a mark. Rashmika is hardly there in the trailer, and it looks like apart from a few songs and comedy scenes, the actress won’t be having much to do in the movie. 

Varisu is slated to release on 12th January 2023 which is the Pongal holiday weekend. But, the movie won’t be getting a solo release as Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu is also slated to release on the same day. The clash of the titans will happen at the box office soon!
