What response are you getting for Potluck season 2?
As of now, I have got very positive responses and it’s been a blessing. But, I haven’t got any negative comments on it. The most balanced response I get is that it’s neither good, neither bad; it’s watchable and fun. So, that’s the kind of response I am getting and I am happy with it because it is exactly what it is. It’s a watchable and fun show which you can watch whenever you feel like and you can re-watch it whenever you feel like. It’s like your mood is down and you want to watch something, and you would be like ‘hey let’s watch Potluck'. It’s kind of a thing like Friends or a sitcom like Big Bang Theory and others; you don’t have to watch the whole thing, you can watch one episode and you will feel good.
How did the idea of Potluck come into your mind?
It didn’t come into my mind, it came into the mind of my showrunner, and they approached me during Covid and I really loved the concept; it just connected with me as a director and I thought let me work on this. It was one of the shows that I really felt connected to. So, that’s how it came to me.
What’s happening next after Potluck 2?
Potluck 3, we just got the greenlit and we are very happy about that. They are going to start writing Potluck 3, so that’s a good thing.
