Ashish Kapoor and Payal Nair, last seen in Saat Phere and Do Saheliyan respectively are entering Chand Chupa Badal Mein as a couple. They play the uncle and aunt of Siddharth Sood (Abhishek Tiwari). Sood family shifts next to Nivedita’s house and are expected to enter the show tonight, “I am playing Jawahar Sood, the youngest son of the family, but unfortunately he never got his rights and is a little frustrated about it. After his elder brother’s death, his nephew has taken over the family business. Jawahar feels his father has done injustice to him by giving away all his rights to his grandson. When this show was offered to me I auditioned for some other character but as Jawahar was very interesting I decided to do it,” says Kapoor. Payal is playing his wife Chanchal, “I am the choti bahu of the family. She feels her husband never got his dues from his family. She often argues with him for not making any efforts to create his own place. My character has grey shades to it, it is a real character and after a cameo in Bidaai, I wanted to work with this production house. I just wrapped up Do Saheliyan so I had time to do another show.” Both the actors have already started shooting for the show. There is a twist in the tale with their entry, as Soods have a big and shocking past with Nivedita’s (Neha Sargam) family, especially with her brother which will be revealed eventually.
