Dharma Productions and Phantom Productions’ Hasee Toh Phasee that stars Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra has been scheduled to release on 7 February, 2014. Though the content of the film has been kept under wraps, the film seems to be loosely based on Yash Chopra’s 1993 film Aaina. The plot of Hasee Toh Phasee deals with Adah Sharma and Sidharth playing a couple who have been in love for over eight years. Later when Adah’s younger sister Parineeti comes in, Sidharth falls in love with her which incidentally was also the premise of Aaina. While Parineeti essays Juhi Chawla’s role and Adah plays that of Amrita Singh, Sidharth Malhotra will play the role essayed by Jackie Shroff. With this film, Sidharth will be making his second silver screen appearance after Student of the Year while for Parineeti, this will be her fourth film.
