Ray Parihar on Pratham’s High-Stakes Showdown: "This Track Brings Out His Complexity Like Never Before"

Ray

MUMBAI: Ray Parihar, who plays Pratham in the ongoing show Jamai No. 1, is making waves with his character’s latest gripping turn. The show’s recent episodes have taken an intense turn, with Pratham caught in a web of revenge, conflict, and unexpected heroism. The actor, known for his powerful screen presence, is relishing the opportunity to showcase Pratham’s depth and transformation. Talking about the current track, Ray shared, “This is one of the most exciting phases for Pratham. He’s been on a path of revenge, but the way things are unfolding, we see that there’s more to him than just a villainous streak. His actions are driven by past wounds, but there’s also an instinct to protect. The moment when he fights to save Manjari, despite his earlier threats, shows his inner turmoil. It’s not black and white, and I love playing such layered characters.” Speaking about filming the action-packed scenes, Ray said, “The fight sequences were challenging but incredibly thrilling to shoot. There were a lot of hand-to-hand combat scenes, and we wanted them to feel as real as possible. I love action, so I thoroughly enjoyed performing the stunts. Pratham isn’t a trained fighter, so his moves are more instinctive, which makes the scene raw and realistic. Getting beaten up was also part of the fun because it adds to the unpredictability of the character.” Ray is thrilled with the direction of the show and the way his character is evolving. “I’m really enjoying being a part of this journey. The entire team is fantastic, and we all work together to bring out the best in every scene. Pratham is a role that keeps me on my toes—it’s unpredictable, intense, and emotionally charged. I can’t wait for the audience to see what’s coming next.”
