Ayush cannot think beyond Yeh Rishta

Like him or not, you will not be able to ignore the character of Mohit, played by Ayush Agarwal if you are watching Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. A close friend of Naitik (played by Karan Mehra), Mohit has become an important part of the current track. And Ayush is enjoying every moment of it. “This is my first foray into television, though it would be wrong to say that I am an outsider. Both my parents run a production house called Sreejan Ad Films Pvt Ltd,” says Ayush, when asked about his tryst with Indian television. “For this role, I was recommended by a family friend and well known media personality. She asked me go and meet Rajan Shahi at his office, which I did. After a stringent audition process, I got selected for this role,” says Ayush when asked about how he got a break in television. “I am lucky that I am part of this show. I have made great friends with Ali Merchant (currently Ali is doing a cameo) and Karan Mehra. In fact, as we are speaking I am out for shopping with Ali,” says Ayush rubbishing rumours of a tiff with Ali. How is his character shaping up? Does it hold a good future for him in future? “It is very difficult to answer this question for a daily serial where the storyline changes very often. I have faith in Rajan ji and I know whatever he does will be for the good only. But I can tell you this much that what you have seen in my character is just the tip of the iceberg, there is a lot more to come,” explains Ayush. “My mother always says that one cannot achieve peace of mind unless he has mental stability. I feel one cannot have mental stability without concentration. As such, I am concentrating fully on my current show. I put my hundred per cent in the serial and right now cannot think of anything else but this show. Once this gets over, will think of the future,” says Ayush.
