In conversation with Hiten Tejwani

Hiten Tejwani
Hiten Tejwani, who has been entertaining his fans through two simultaneous shows, Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) and Savdhan India (Life OK), is amazed at the increasing crime rate in this country. While anchoring a show like Savdhan India he is appalled to see the kind of mindset people can have to deal with situations in life. He states, “While we have been put under regulations not to portray rapes and certain crimes, I am out of words when people who live in the same family resort to killings. More particularly, just because elders in the family cannot understand certain things they are falsely blackmailed and fooled into situations and even killed for robbery." Talking about the trends of reality shows bringing in more awareness in the society the talented actor and anchor feels that this is something what the viewers want more of. Hiten adds his views stating, “Savdhan India was an initiative to create awareness and this became a trend as it clicked with the audience. Today crime sells and more people would come up with more innovative ideas to present its viewers. But eventually, shows and their concepts get filtered and in the end only the best will rule this space.” Amongst the fiction shows on air today, Hiten is of the opinion that Balika Vadhu is one show which communicates a moral at the end of each episode. “There are not many shows which maintain to their daily soap format and at the same time communicate a message with each episode they air. Balika Vadhu is a fabulous idea and a great concept. I think this is one of the primary reasons the show is doing well since a long time.” Well said Hiten!!!
