A loss of a dear one is always very painful! Now with the death of television actor Rakesh Diwana yesterday (27 April) morning, it’s time for all of us to send our condolences to the bereaved family. Rakesh, who was seen in Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and is also known for his stint as Kumbhkarna in Ramayan (2008-09), passed away due to complications caused after undergoing a bariatric surgery (weight loss) in Indore. The actor’s daughter Shivani said that she still couldn't believe that her father's no more with her. The surgery was for weight loss and the doctors were very confident about the operation. But after the surgery, Rakesh was shifted to the ICU where he breathed his last. “It was very shocking for me when doctors called me and informed that he had a brain damage,” rued Shivani in an interview to a national daily. However, the hospital management dismissed the charges. “When Diwana underwent a bariatric surgery on 23 April, his condition was normal. After that he suffered hypertension and brain stem dysfunction which deteriorated his condition and he was shifted to ICU,” the hospital said in a statement.
