Sony TV's Nandini team wraps up shoot today

Desh Ki Beti Nandini
When the show was launched, there was an expectation that this will be a game-changer on TV with its interesting political backdrop. But Desh Ki Beti…Nandini by Rashmi Sharma Productions failed to connect with the masses. The outcome is that even before the show could complete a year or manage to build up its drama, Sony Entertainment Television has decided to end it. Today (30 April), the team shot for the last episode with Nandini taking the oath as the Chief Minister, with everyone coming together as one big happy family. The show had the lovely Keerti Nagpure playing a simple middle class girl, Nandini, who gets married into a political family and then embarks upon a journey which will end with her becoming the Chief Minister. Although it was the debut for the good looking Rafi Malik, who played the lead Rajveer, he has definitely made a mark in the industry with his charm. And of course, with his off screen affair rumours doing the rounds, the boy’s popularity has just shot up. Giving them company further were some talented actors like Sujata Sehgal, Manoj Chandila, Shahab Khan, Aadesh Chaudhary and Surendra Pal. Talking on her experience, Keerti who was busy shooting for the last few sequences quickly averred, “It has been a very exciting experience with the entire team for we bonded really well. Also with the chance of getting to play such a strong character in a different avatar was really fun.” On the other hand, Rafi shared, “Since this has been my first show, I got to learn the nuances of acting. The whole experience has been like a workshop for me. I have grown as an actor through this show. I am a very positive person and believe that if something ends, a bigger and better way always opens up. I would also like to thank all the viewers for giving me so much love and getting me recognised.” Finally Sujata said, “Well it had been a learning experience for me and playing Gayatri Devi has really made me strong as a person. Also the wonderful bond we have shared will be terribly missed. But everything has to come to an end, and so we would like to look ahead and hope for a better future than cry over the past. We are all planning for a get together and hope to bid farewell to each other smilingly.” Producer Rashmi Sharma remained unavailable. Tellychakkar.com would like to wish the entire team a great future ahead!
