Most Indian homemakers may not even think twice before wearing the same sari or even mismatch a blouse with another sari but women on our small screens would rather be dead than caught wearing the same clothes, week after week. For instance, Urvashi Dholakia known for her halter blouses, yes, yes, even backless ones and shimmering saris got a rude shock when the producers of her latest show, Apno Ke Liye Geeta Ka Dharmayudh, didn’t pay any attention to her demand for new saris and matching blouses. Result: the actress has had to make do repeating her blouses -- four to be precise – with every other sari. Naturally then, Urvashi lost her temper when she found out that only four blouses had been stitched for her for the entire season to team up with saris. A little quivering bird tells us she stormed out of the sets and refused to come till the production house got her a new set of matching blouses! We spoke to Dholakia who says, “The production house has provided me with whatever I needed. I am happy with the costumes and stylists. The rest you can speak to the production house.” Eh?
