Finally Star Plus gets its Mahabharat

The latest to join the mytho bandwagon is Swastik Pictures. After the success of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo , the production house is all set to make a foray into this genre. The production house apparently is all set to make one of the most popular epics Mahabharat for Star Plus. Bobby Bedi was originally given the charge of producing the mytho for Star Plus which was tipped to launch in the month of August, 2008. The channel announced the making of the epic amidst much fan-fare but the deal went kaput as allegedly Bedi couldn’t deliver what was promised. Now it appears that the reigns of making the mytho have been passed on to Swastik from Bedi. Informs a source, “After Agle Janam, Swastik will now produce a mytho for Star Plus. The casting of the same will start in the next two days. This is a huge responsibility and the production house is leaving no stone unturned to make it a successful venture. If everything falls in place, the mytho will launch by the year end.” We sent a text message to producer Siddharth Tewary and even called him but he didn’t revert. All attempts to reach the channel too were futile. We hope Tewary continues his success streak with this one. And Star Plus too strikes gold.
