Did you know who is Renuka Shahane's mother?

Renuka Shahane who was recently seen shaking a leg on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is the daughter of noted writer Shanta Gokhale. Renuka made her directorial debut with a film titled Rita which was adapted from her mother's novel, Rita Welingkar. Renuka also acted in the film wherein she played the pivotal role of a friend, guide and philosopher of Rita, the protagonist. Jackie Shroff, Pallavi Joshi, Suhasini Mulay and Mohan Agashe were an integral part of the cast.
