MUMBAI: Natural star Nani started his career with the 2008 release Ashta Chamma, and has been a part of many famous Tamil and Telugu movies. He is currently one of the biggest stars down South, and moviegoers look forward to his films. 

Well, Hindi moviegoers have also watched the dubbed versions of Nani’s movies and they are keen to watch him in a Bollywood film. However, not many would know that Nani has featured in the remake of a Hindi film that was produced by a big Bollywood production house.

Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma starrer Band Baaja Baaraat was remade in Tamil with Nani and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. Titled Aaha Kalyanam, the movie was produced by YRF who had also produced the original movie. 

Aaha Kalyanam received mixed reviews as critics felt that it was exactly the same as the original one and offered nothing new. However, Nani’s performance was appreciated in it and the movie did well at the box office as well. While it was shot in Tamil, it was dubbed and released in Telugu. 

Nani has surely come a long way in his career. While once he starred in the remake of a Hindi movie, last year, his Telugu movie Jersey was remade in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. However, the Hindi version was a disaster at the box office. 

Talking about Nani’s upcoming movies, the actor will be seen in Dasara which is slated to release on 30th March 2023. He also has Nani 30 lined up.
