9X has a spate of shows in the offing and one of them is Siddharth Kak's <em> Sambhav Kya </em>. The show is reportedly on the lines of Star One's <em> Maano Ya Na Maano</em> which was hosted by Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan. According to a source from the production house, "This bi-weekly show will be hosted by Iqbal Khan and will air on Fridays and Saturdays. The show is slated to air from 10 October in the primetime slot and the first episode will showcase three stories based on true incidents. Each story will run for 15 minutes."

Currently the afternoon band on 9X has 3 shows namely, <em>Veeranwali, Neelanjana</em> and<em> Rasm-e-rasoi</em>. Now word has it that 9X is all set to wind up its afternoon band from 2 October. In effect this means that it is the end for Creative Eye’s<em> Veeranwali</em> and Edit II’s<em> Neelanjana</em>. Both the shows started together on 14 January 2008 and would breathe their last together on 2 October. Earlier, it was reported that<em> Veeranwali</em> was slated to go off-air on 15 September. The fate of the cookery show,<em> Rasm-e-rasoi</em> is undecided.

9X is all set to launch a new dance based reality show tentatively titled <em> Tyohar Dhamaka</em>. The show is expected to have some of the top names of the television industry participating in it and is tipped to wind up within three weeks. What’s interesting is that the dance show will have the actress cum danseuse Asha Parekh as a judge on the show. And yet another dance exponent Sudha Chandran will be hosting the show. The show is being produced by SOL Productions.

After <em> Ajeeb</em> , Bonnie Jain productions Private Limited is all set to air another show on 9X. As per sources from the production house <em> Khel Kismat Ka</em> is a business soap. According to the source, “There will be more than one track in the show and stories would run simultaneously. The lead character is called Damini and it will be a daily primetime soap. The show is slated go on air by August end.” “Nidhi Seth and Karan Mallick make their debut as the lead pair. Other known faces onboard are Gargi Patel and Bina Rai,” adds another source.

9X has announced the launch date of the dance and music reality show <em> Chak De – Shehar Di Kudiyan Te Galli De Gunde.</em> Produced by Saibaba Telefilms, this show will pit boys from small towns against girls from the metros. The show will hunt for boys and girls in the age group of 15-25 years, who can sing as well as dance.

After announcing the pull off of its alleged flagship shows like<em> Mere Apne, Jiya Jale</em> and<em> Dahhej,</em>9X is all set to air two brand new shows titled <em>Ruby</em> , a BAG production and <em>Ajeeb</em> from Bonnie Jain Productions Private Limited. While<em>Ruby</em> is slated to air from 25 August on Monday and Tuesday at 9:30 pm, Ajeeb will start airing from 27 August on Wednesday and Thursday at the same time. Both these shows will fill in for<em> Jiya Jale,</em> which is nearing its end.

After announcing the pull off of their two major shows <em> Mere Apne</em> and <em> Jiya Jale</em>, 9X is soon to launch a daily soap titled <em> Angad </em> produced by Sphere Origin. Angad is a fantasy show which will air in the primetime slot.

9X has roped in BAG Films to produce a daily for them titled as <em> rubi</em>. The show that is expected to be a daily will have Mazher Sayed aka Samar of <em> Saat Phere </em> fame and veteran actor Nupur Alankar . BAG Films is sticking to its golden rule of christening the show after its lead character's name. Informs a source from the production house, "The lead character of the show is<em> Rubi </em> and thus the title of the show. Even its other long running show is titled as<em> Kumkum</em> after its lead character's name which is essayed by Juhi Parmar ."

Expect the unexpected this Sunday on 9X's dance based celebrity contest <em> Yeh Hai Jalwa</em>. As the show enters its final leg, host Smriti Irani will make a surprising announcement which will add another twist to the tale. Believe it or not, Smriti will announce the introduction of a wild card entry who will battle it out with the two finalists Rakhi Sawant and Ronit Roy for the coveted trophy during the finale that will take place on 8 June.
