Aashish Kaul

Aashish Kaul, who's often played second fiddle to the protagonists in most of his shows, has finally bagged a lead role. Very soon Aashish will be seen in<em> 'Kisi ki nazar na lage'</em> to be aired on Doordarshan. "I am very excited about the show since it gives me an opportunity to showcase my talents. Kashish,a rookie from Kolkata, plays my opposite number. We have already shot 12 episodes and expect it to hit airwaves pretty soon."

Aashish Kaul, who has just entered the track of Sony's <em>Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai</em>, will be soon seen in yet another serial - <em>India Calling</em> on Star One. He will be seen on air from 10 May. Kaul bags another serial in a span of 10 days "I play Amy that's Kanika Maheswari's boyfriend in the show. Rohan is actually a married man with a five year old kid, who's going to divorce his wife. It's a very true to life and genuine character," says Aashish. The actor can be currently seen in <em>Kaisa ye Pyar Hai</em> as Navin Verma, where he is playing a lawyer.

Aashish Kaul is probably the only TV actor with three shows on air, all on the same channel. In Star Plus' <em>Kasautii Zindagi Kay</em>, he plays Cezanne Khan’s brother Subratho at 8.30. pm. In the 11 pm show, <em>K Street Pali Hill</em>, he plays Mr Satlani, a lawyer. Now, he enters the Kavyanjali plot tonight as Mr. Mahotra, at 9.30 pm. “I am playing Kanishk’s father, who is getting married soon. I am playing a businessman from Hong Kong. I have just shot for two days and I am enjoying the role. I shot with Amrita Singh, who is a fabulous actress and a thorough professional.

<em>K Street Pali Hill</em> is gearing for a new entrant. The late night Balaji soap will now have Aashish Kaul playing Sid Majani (yeah, somewhat on the lines of a younger, flamboyant Ram Jethmalani, if you please).
