The show is likely to go on floors from January 5, though the makers have not got any definite time slot or launch date for the same.

Amarr Upadhyay was supposed to be part of Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki but things did not work out and the actor will soon start shooting for Smita Thackeray’s <em><a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/smita-thackerays-kalki-star-jaya-bhattacharya>Kalki </a></em> .

All eyes are glued on the Balaji show Bairi piya. Both the show’s concept (farmer suicides) and the production house (Balaji) have piqued viewer interest. Television superstar Shard Kelkar and Supriya Kumari have already signed for the show. A certain section of the media had carried a report on Amarr Upadhyay being part of this show but that’s not true. Confirming the news, Upadhyay says, “No, I’m not doing <em>Bairi piya</em>. I turned down the offer.” The actor didn’t specify his reason for his refusal.

Post his last show, <em> Viraasat</em>, apna Amarr Mihir Upadhyay has not been seen much on the idiot box these days. Notwithstanding, the actor is breaking new ground by producing Hindi and Bhojpuri films along with wife Hetal under their banner-Friday Films..

Amarr Upadhyay finally has another show in his kitty! He will soon join the <em>CID</em> team as an officer on special duty. The episodes will be aired in May. "Amarr's name was in my mind for sometime. We wanted to cast someone who's not been lately over exposed. Since his show, Viraasat is yet to come he was a good option. Moreover, he's become thinner and he's tall and looking fresh now," says supervising producer, <em>CID</em>, Yash Patnaik , who's made it a habit now to spring surprises as far as casting is concerned.

Amarr Upadhyay whose claim to fame was Mihir's character in <em>Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi</em>, is finally fulfilling his dream -- that of starting a production house of his own. He has named his production house Friday Films. "I always thought of producing my own shows and here I am," says Amarr. The production house will not be in partnership with anyone. "No this will not be a joint venture; instead it will be owned by my wife Hetal and myself," adds the actor. Friday Films will produce films, television shows, as well as ad films.
