Apsara Awards

The Film and Television Producers' Guild of India announced the nominations for the Second Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards on 3 January. The nominees were announced amongst the leading producers from the film and television fraternity. Apsara awards Jury members The awards are divided into four award categories - Film, Film Technical, Television and Special awards. The Film and Television have 14 awards each, while the Technical and Special Award groups have seven and 10 awards each in the television category.

At an august assembly of film and television producers, the second Apsara awards were formally announced in Mumbai last week. Hosted by Shweta Salve, the proceedings of the event began with a glossy and crisp audio visual on the Guild. The opening address was delivered by Film & Television Producers Guild of India Guild President Amit Khanna who dwelt on the intense competitiveness for the awards due to an unprecedented increase in the number of entries for film and television.
