Star One's primetime show <em>Betiyaan Apni Yaa Paraaya Dhan</em>, which many in the beginning labeled as regressive, has finally managed to catch the attention of the audiences.
The social drama, a story of six daughters and a son born into a Zamindar family of Neelkanth Chanda Rana who considers his daughters more of a burden. It somehow tries to capture the reality of our times that still believes in discrimination of the girl child.
