While Jab We Met and Highway are one of his best films the director said that the casting would have been different had he gone with his original plan.

However there was a time when he also acted in a film on the insistence of his friend Anug Kashyap. The film we are talking about is the controversial film Black Friday.

Anurag previously stated that he feels bad about asking Vicky to collaborate with him right now because the actor's market value has skyrocketed and he is aware that he is unable to pay for him. He is aware that Vicky would not demand payment, as evidenced by the fact that he provided the lengthy appearance in Almost Pyaar without price.

In a recent interview with a news portal, Anurag said how he struggled to get his films in theaters and how people questioned his morality for the kind of films he made.
