Darsheel Safary plays Saleem Sinai in Midnight’s Children, a little boy who is endowed with the magical power to telepathically gather all the <em>Midnight’s Children</em> (children born on the midnight hour of India’s independence on 15th August, 1947) with his watering nose. If Darsheel was endowed with such a super-power, he would have wanted to know people’s thoughts, send people his thoughts and enable certain thoughts in certain people.

Early this week, Tellychakkar.com put up a story on choreographer Jay Kumar Nair in which he said that it would be unfortunate if Darsheel Safary and Avneet Kaur are eliminated from the show this week. Well looks like the choreographer could foresee his contestants’ stay on Colors’ <em>Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa</em>. Darsheel and Avneet were the youngest contestants on the sets of <em>Jhalak</em>, but they never seemed out of place. In fact, they lived up to the judges’ expectation as well as the audiences’ performances.

From winning Boogie Woogie in 2007, dancer Jay Kumar Nair has come a long way to participate in Dance India Dance (DID) and turning choreographer to little known dancers in DID Li’l Masters. But in spite of the huge experience, the choreographer is having a hard time teaching the chores of dancing to Darsheel Safary and Avneet Kaur in Colors’ dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Jay is fond of kids and loves being around them. But, when it comes to handling Darsheel and Avneet, he does not know what to do. “They fight a lot,” admits the chorographer.

This week, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (JDJ) will be more of a Bollywood movie, as it will entertain its audience in the true sense, with Darsheel Safary performing an emotional act, that is certain to dampen eyes of onlookers. Now, this young lad is facing the challenge of proving his mettle on the dance floor in Colors’ <em>Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa</em> for he has to balance his time well and put in decent number of hours into his studies as he is soon to take his SSC exams.
