Spending a day with the 'silvers'

It was Mother’s Day. My car entered a gate and we (Gauri and I) were greeted by a very positive vibe as we entered a lane lined by a lovely garden. As we got down to this place, we were greeted by the Sister (caretaker). Her demeanour made the house a cozy place to be. She had that maternal warmth which made her ideal for the place we had come to celebrate Mother’s Day. We were at an old age home.

Celebs do not always have it easy

It is always easy to say, ‘Wow, look at these celebrities. They have so many fans. They are always hounded by people and get the best treatment wherever they go!” Yes, that’s the upside of being a celeb alright. And according to me, rightly so, because this is what a celebrity earns besides name, fame and awards, love and good wishes from so many people. But yes, sometimes this love is so much that we really have to think how to handle these fans. Not all are the same but yes we do come across fans who we really don't know what to make of.

Please leave the Gods alone!

This is a recent experience I would like to share with all of you. We had decided to take Nevaan and Katya to Shirdi. So as usual Gauri planned everything well in advance. She did all the bookings including renting a car. Yes, we travelled by road. Everyone warned us about the bad roads. Well we are used to such roads but on a long journey and that too with our angels it was a different ball game. We decided to go via Pune so that we could take a break there and the kids could relax before proceeding for the rest of the trip.

Let the garbage go into the bin, please!

Why can’t we throw the garbage to where it belongs? No, not littered around on every available space but right into the garbage bin. Why do people open their car doors and spit on the roads? I don’t understand why do we complain of dirty roads and lack of cleanliness in our public places on one hand and go around dirtying it on the other hand. Aren’t we responsible for the state our roads are in? Why can’t people use dust bins especially when they are right under their nose? Is it laziness of sheer apathy?

Lost baggage...it happens to stars too!

Every year around the end or so Gauri and I take a break. In simple words, we go for our vacation. Every year we try to go to our favourite destinations, favourite cities and come back with a huge bag of memories and artefacts. Gauri is especially fond of picking up artefacts from all over the world.

'Pool'tu timepass!

Recently we were invited for a pool party…yup, that’s the ‘in’ thing now…they even call it a sunset party. The party timings are 4 pm to 10. Pm and that’s the best part because usually the timings for parties are 10 pm to 4 am. I had only heard about the so-called pool parties but never been to one. We decided to go for a while..

Bend it like Beckham

Aww he's so cute; he’s adorable…nah these comments are not for me but for our four legged pet Beckham. Whenever we take him for a stroll, onlookers greet him with these compliments. Beckham, our first baby! He's two-years-old now but when he had come to us he was barely 21 days old. I thought by mistake we had got a mouse. He looked like a rodent. Actually unless the puppy has crossed 35 days, it should stay with its mother but since money makes the world go round, the breeder lied to us and very conveniently, put him on the plane and sent to us.
