On Monday at the Phoenix Mall in Bangalore excited crowds broke free of the barricades separating them from the three stars of the evening, Priyanka Chopra, Ileana D’Cruz and Ranbir Kapoor, and nearly swooped down on them before Ranbir formed a protective cordon around the two ladies and fled—literally fled—with them through the back entrance of the mall.

The Barfi team is taking its get-happy mood for the film very seriously. Starting on Saturday 6 September in Mumbai, the team would be participating in nationwide <em>Barfi</em> musical concerts that would stretch over the weekend and beyond. The entire music team is expected to participate in the concerts that kickstart at the R Mall Mulund in Mumbai and then proceed to Kolkata (9 September), Bangalore (10 September) and Delhi (11 September).

While Ileana D’Cruz waits for her Bollywood career to take off with Anurag Basu’s eagerly-awaited Barfi, she has gone back to Hyderabad to work on Jagannadh Puri’s Telugu film <em>Devudu Chesina Manushulu</em> where she stars opposite the reigning superstar of Telugu cinema, Ravi Teja. In <em>Devudu Chesina Manushulu</em>, Ileana moves completely away from the image of the simple uncomplicated girl in <em>Barfi</em> to play the piping-hot seductress in Puri’s film.
