A show down on Jjhoom India

Fighting, squabbling and controversies have become an inevitable part of any reality show and Sahara One's <em>Jjhoom</em> India is no exception. The controversy created by <em>Sachin Tyagi</em>, a participant of the show, of beating his make-up man was just fading away and it was time for a new one. And this time at the receiving end was veteran actress <em>Shabana Azmi </em>and senior music-director Anand ji, judges of the show.

Rahul Vaidya bares it all

Former Indian Idol contestant and singing talent show <em> Jjhoom India</em> anchor Rahul Vaidya has one regret. "I don't have many film songs," he says. Rahul is not indulging in reality show bashing or bemoaning the fact that like some of his other <em> Indian Idol</em> colleagues he has not leapt on to the Hindi cinema playback stage. Rather he is talking about the trials and tribulations singers have to go through before hitting the charts.

Everything’s fair in love and on Jjhoom India

They aspired to <em> jhoom India</em> but at the moment viewers are jhooming with confusion. The recent happenings on <em> Jjhoom India </em> have given rise to few uncomfortable questions. Last week Dimple Kapadia filled in for Shabana Azmi as judge. Also, singer Lucky Ali substituted for Vinod Rathod as mentor to actor Roshni Chopra. Couple of weeks ago, Jolly Mukherjee replaced Zubin Garg to partner the hapless Shama Sikander. Roshni too was left alone when Vinod didn’t turn up for the rehearsals. However, Vinod’s friend Lucky Ali agreed to bail out Roshni.

Zubin quits Jjhoom for Sa Re Ga Ma

In its second week, <em> Jjhoom India</em> witnessed not one but two casualties. Perceived as the biggest threat, Apara Mehta and Parthiv Gohil were voted out by fellow contestants. However, one was surprised by the absence of Shama Sikander's partner Zubin Garg. He was eventually replaced by Jolly Mukherjee.

Sharad Kelkar, good actor or singer?

The perfect husband of Indian television, Sharad Kelkar aka Nahar of <em> Saat Phere</em> is worn out these days. Beside <em> Saat Phere</em> he'll now be seen in Sahara One's <em> Jjhoom India</em>. We caught up with him to chat about his experience on acting and singing and what he prefers most. "It is tough to shoot all day and rehearse at night. But if you ask me what's easy then I would choose acting over singing. Singing is not my cup of tea but <em> Jjhoom </em> is giving me a good experience and also serving as a great change from my routine." says Sharad.

Singing without a singer judging

The <em> Jjhoom India</em> jury of Mahesh Bhatt, Shabana Azmi and Anandji has been described by some as 'trimurti'. While it's foolhardy to question the credibility of these acclaimed personalities, there's a missing link in the <em> Jjhoom</em> jury. A singing reality show not having a singer among the jury is indeed matter of debate.

Sahara One vows to Jjhoom India

The key to success, and TRPs, lie in reality shows. Sahara One reaped the benefits of it with <em> Biggest Loser Jeetega</em>. They now aim to raise the bar higher with the launch of their new reality show <em> 'Jjhoom India</em> which goes on air from 27th October. The bi-weekly show will telecast every Friday and Saturday at 9.00 pm.
