Director Abhinav Shiv Tiwari, who caught attention with his debut feature film Oass, that tackled the issue of human trafficking, is now working on a film that will revolve around a tale of a daughter and father. “The film is a story about a father who is on a journey to save his daughter in the wilderness of Ladakh. He has got just a few days in the peak of winters when the temperature is minus 30 degrees in the region. It's a man versus nature story," Tiwari said in a statement.

The untimely demise of filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s mother on Saturday evening could have brought to a halt the shooting schedule of Mehra’s Run Milkha Run in Ladakh. Precious time that would have been hard to retrieve, were it not for Mehra’s leading man Farhan Akhtar who promised to keep the shooting going on uninterrupted in Mehra’s absence.

Shooting in Ladakh is not easy. Crew members of J P.Dutta’s LOC and Farhan Akhtar’s Lakshya fell ill complaining of breathlessness and suffocation caused by the vertiginous altitude on which the Ladakh region is located. During LOC two members of the crew actually lost their lives in Ladakh.
