Monaz Mevawala is kicked about her new Colors show, Durga where she essays the main negative lead of Mata Danu. “My Paatal Lok based character is a witch who can do black magic, read people’s minds, see the future and can indulge in all kinds of bad activities. There is basically nobody as wicked as her. As you would know, the show is based on the efforts of the people residing in Paatal Lok wishing to conquer Swarg Lok where Durga Maa stays, and about the problems this ‘Good V/s Bad’ battle entails,” Monaz explains.

Though she plays Bipasha in Zee’s <em> Ardhangini,</em> Monaz Mevawala is not as bold as her namesake. The vivacious girl refused to shoot an intimate scene with Ajay Krish. After expressing her inhibitions, the director did alter the scene but Monaz still wasn’t comfortable with the canned shot and requested that the particular scene be taken off. The director did not accede to her request.
