Here comes another name in the list of nominees for the Best Actor in a Lead Role category at the Twelfth Indian Telly Awards. Yes, we are talking about the very hard working and talented Anas Rashid, who is currently seen as Sooraj in Star Plus’ <em>Diya Aur Baati Hum</em> (Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt Ltd).

Pooja Joshi who essays the role of Varsha in Director’s Kut’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus never wanted to get into acting, but is now happy to bag all the limelight with her long-running show. Pooja who started her journey in television with the role of Sanyojita in <em>Prithviraj Chauhan</em>, is now a household name, courtesy her sweet and positive character of Varsha in <em>Yeh Rishta</em>..

Now, here is some serious news. So, do pay attention. Costume designer Neerushaa Nikhat’s studio in Goregaon got robbed today early morning (13 February 2012). For information, Neerushaa is designing clothes for renowned shows on television, namely, <em>Mahadev </em> (Life OK) and <em>Veer Shivaji</em> (Colors), <em>Kuch To Log Kahenge</em> (Sony Entertainment), Rajan Shahi’s upcoming show <em>Jamuna Paar</em> on Imagine, amongst others. She recently won awards for her costumes in <em>Prithviraj Chauhan</em> (Star Plus) and <em>Jhansi Ki Rani</em> (Zee TV).

<strong>A page from the personal diary of Anas Rashid</strong> When I finished with Kahiin Toh Hoga I kept dabbling with ideas and offers as to which character I should portray next. I would go for auditions after which I would try and live that character for a while but I knew something was missing… and I had no clue what it was. Then one day I got a call from Sagar Pictures. My immediate reaction to a running show was …. No way!!! Still my agent sold the idea of at least going through the process.
