Saakshi

We have seen her fighting spirit for years; she is the nation's favourite <em> bahu </em> on television. Torture never seems to end for her. The ever sacrificing Saakshi Tanwar is every mother-in-law’s dream daughter-in-law. But it will be a role-reversal of sorts in her episodic appearance in <em> Ajeeb </em>. Saakshi will be disowned by her mother-in-law who has no liking for her. This sure will come as a rude shock to all Sakshi’s fans who are so used to seeing her play the ideal <em> bahu</em>.

The rigorous working hours and tremendous pressures of a daily soap do take a toll. Working 15 hours a day at a stretch is no a cakewalk and many of our actors succumb to fatigue and stress. One such actress who more than often crashes out is Saakshi Tanwar Sakshi who is currently shooting for<em> Kahaani Hamare Mahaabharat ki</em> could not fight the pressures of shooting in the high locales of Ladakh and needed medical attention. She is reportedly continuing to work despite her frail health.

Cinevistaas' <em>Saathiya</em> starring Amar Upadhyay, Shrradha Nigam and Sanjit Bedi is likely to go off the air waves by January end. The production house has been hearing about this and has tried to check with the channel (SaharaOne)- but to no avail. The end, as and when it comes, we hope will not be abrupt. While Shrradha has bagged a chat show Soul Mantra for the now-in-planning Times Hindi channel, Upadhyay is keeping his fingers crossed that Ekta Kapoor will call him to play an important role in the fast-forward version of <em>Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi</em>.
